Cripple Creek Mining District T-Shirt

Cripple Creek was the richest gold strike in Colorado history. Between 1895 and 1915, the output from the mines at Cripple Creek dwarfed all others in the state, with countless mines operating round-the-clock. The town saw its fair share of challenges, from fires to miners strikes, but shafts continued to be dug deeper and deeper as the years went by. Now the town celebrates its rich mining history, with public tours of many of the old mines. The massive Victor Gold Mine is currently situated right on the edge of town.
